What determinese Stalagoom quality?

is it stone q under the tile, or hidden water tile q (since I've seen water above Q10 in caves)?

No, it's soil quality, like for almost all foragables.

Thanks. Is the soil quality layer in caves representative of the soil quality layer above it, or does the subterranean layer have its own soil quality layer?

Let's say I have a q70+ stalagoom that I found in a huge cave.

caves have their own soil, rock, water, clay and fish quality nodes, independent from what's on surface
