Curio LP

Postby Ninijutsu » Mon Nov 07, 2011 12:31 am

What is the formula for calculating the amount of LP gained from a curiosity based on it's quality, base LP, and your learning ability?

Example: The base LP for a seer's bones is 600 at quality 10 (I think). If it's quality 59 and I have 320% learning ability, what will I get from it when it's done?
Of another era.

Same as for EVERYTHING in this game: base * sqrt (q / 10). Anything that provides LP is then multiplied by your learning ability.

BaseLP * sqrt(Q/10) * (LA/10)

So...

600 x sqrt 5.9 x 3.2

4,663 LP

that "(LA/10)" irks me. the /10 doesn't fit. Learning Ability comes in percentage thus 320% is just 3.2x, In no way does (320/10) = 3.2.

Well he didn't seem to understand how it factored into the equation so I made it simple for him.

I have no issue with that, it's more the phrasing. You weren't wrong, it's just how I see it in my head. I personally would've not put in the /10 on the learning ability, so instead it's

LP = BaseLP * sqrt(Q/10) * LA

purely since it is % based.

If it wasn't in percentage form, I'd agree. You don't have a natural 100 learning ability, you have a natural 100% learning ability, which when speaking about in non percentage forms is 1, not 100.

Yes but for the purposes of my equation it should have been /100 derp.

yeah but you aren't multiplying by 100% or 360%, you're multiplying by 1 or 3.6, respectively
