Village Claim vs. Stake Claim

Are personal claims required after you form a village? I was wondering if I could declaim my land and just have village claim in my surrounding area. I'm just not sure if there are any benefits to having both, or its a waste of LP. I do realize authority < 50,000 means anyone can enter the claim area. I looked on both wikis and in this forum section and couldn't find a definitive answer if a village claim protects as well as a personal claim (i.e. the toggles of vandalism, theft, and trespass.) Thanks.

Personal claims supersede village claims when it comes to permissions, so they're nice to have if you've got multiple people living in the same village and want to keep people out of your personal stuff.

Otherwise no, there's no need for a personal claim AND a village claim.

you seem to have misread a bit of information, with authority less than 50k anyone can use your claim without leaving scents, even while its above 50k anyone may walk onto your village claim(they'll get a message saying entering <town name>). if you're a 1 man village, as long as you're not innactive for long periods of time, a village claim will be just as good as a personal claim...but if you want other people around they'll have full access if you give them any access at all(no toggles for vandalism, tresspassing, and theft).
