Building underground

Postby Rreed1996 » Fri Dec 02, 2011 4:06 am

I wanted to build a palisade around a timber house. But i was wondering if the walls of palisade needed clearance from the walls of the cave. So i know what i need to mine(i will have supports up as well). But I do not know anything about building underground. Can anyone help me without being a smartass?

unmined walls are just like rivers, you can't build too close to them. the best way to test it is to actually pave, if you can pave there you can build your wall there.

That's "can". ;) Otherwise, the Awesome one has it right. Unless it's a large cavern, you probably won't have room to build a house down there without mining an area out.

If you want to avoid smartasses, you should probably quit trying to be one (I've seen some of your post history).
