Deon,
If the first number reaches zero, your character will be knocked out, and resurrect as soon as he regains one hp. The first number represents, as kaka said, soft health points, that are regenerated over time.
If the second number reaches zero, on the other hand, your character will be the first character in Haven & Hearth to actually and factually experience permanent and irrevocable
death. The second number represents, as kaka said, hard hitpoints, grievous damage, that are not regenerated automatically at all.
Soft HP is limited by Hard HP which, in turn, is limited by Max HP (The third number)
Max HP is calculated as follows: (Strength + (Constitution X 2)) X Health Point modifier (from personal beliefs).
There are currently two ways of restoring Hard Hitpoints. Gauze and Leeches.
Gauze is made from sheep's wool, and slowly restores up to ten hard hitpoints.
Leeches will automatically equip to any free equip slot when you walk through a swamp. Leeches suck blood from your character (represented as soft HP damage) and for every ten soft hitpoints of damage sustained this way, restores one hard hitpoint (approximately).
I would not recommend the latter method, since all damage is treated as damage to your hard hitpoints if your character has no soft hitpoints left. Leeches, thus, might very well kill you.
Gauze, my friend, is your last hope. Learn "First Aid" and find some sheep for wool. We're implementing reincarnation tonight, so don't die before that.
