How to make a fire?

I understand the basics, of how to setup one, but the problem i have is lighting it.
I need to know how to light a pre built fire, and also how to light a torch.
Also whether it is possible to light a torch from a fire, and/or from a kiln.

right click it, select the "light" option. to light a torch, it must be equipped. you do not need anything else to light a campfire or a torch.
