fastest way to gain LP and find friends?

hey. i have been wondering what the fastest way is to gain LP... i started yesterday and i finally want to get off my island. for that i need to make a boat =/ which costs "relatively" much LP. (at least its much to me)

Furthermore its getting really really really boring when i just have to play on my own =/ and apparently ppl dont like me joining their village ._. so yea...would be nice if i could get some replies on that

(and yes i have read wiki etc, however, i still want some personal oppinions...>_<)

Depending on the size and the terrain diversity of your island, forageable curios are the best LP gain early game. Look for dragonflies if you have a swamp nearby, Primitive Dolls if you have extra bones, Dandelions if there's any grassland/moor/heath around, and obviously try to always have a conecow in study. Also with a few points in exploration (around 10-15) you will gain access to a bigger fan of forageable curios. Make sure to take the most advantage of your discoveries as well.

As for finding friends, Ctrl + B opens your kin list. You can set a HS that your friends can type in the creation room and spawn in your HF (and you can spawn in theirs, needless to say). For a village you'll have to look at the D&T forum.

Also if the island is too small and you're having a hard time getting boatbuilding I'd suggest a respawn somewhere else with a new account.

really it is? i read that buying swimming is pretty pointless (for what ever reason i dont really know )

I mean to kill ur char it's a good option . Don't actually try to swim anywhere on a char u want to live without at least 40 const till ur used to swimming.

if you get started in a bad spot there is no reason to stay there, create a new character and hope for a better location. don't just create 1 new character create a few...find a nice area where a few terrain types meet, best place for you as it gives you access to multiple resource types.

as for gaining lp early on as you get your first bits of discovery lp invest in exploration(I'm not going to tell you to get to 15 like the other guy) at 3 exploration you can see a few basic foragable curios those along with the early curios you can make and things from ant hills should get you boatbuilding and yeomanry in your first day if you're actually working at it.

lol my first character got killed by raiding an ant hill and running into what I thought was water...

if you're on an island like you say, click raid and run into the shallow water when the ants come after you. once the ants hit the water they'll leave you alone, and you can go back and raid the hill again with no worries. on the other hand you can increase your unarmed combat, once you're at 15 you can raid an anthill without ants breaking your defense bar.
