Okay, so finally someone found my somewhat secluded spot (even though there were villages reasonably close I've never seen anyone) and killed my few days old character just after I decided to logout. Really profitable deed. I really wonder what's so fun about killing newbies?
Luckily I already had a palisade so I managed to inherit and start off again in decent position so back to my question.
When I died I had around 25k unspent LP, 30k in my claim and thousands in skills (yay for finding several peculiar flotsams in my first days).
According to wiki page I should get at least some of these back, even with my full change slider.
However I started with 0 LPs and I had to declaim in order to get any since I'm not getting any LP from discoveries and my exploration was too low to find any curios.
How come?
Also, are there any areas in the world where population is really low? I'm playing solo and I don't care about having neighbors, at least not until I get myself a plate armor or something so that I can survive more than few punches.
