how do i tame (read)

how do i tame animals fast with out them damaging me mutch?

(looking for ideas from people that have been playing a long time)
The Lord of sneaking, the silent steps of paws, fast as a bird, and as smart as a advanced human... this is what a Fox is and what it will always be.

The way i do it:

find an animal you want to tame
lure him to water (prefered lake)
Stand deep enough in shallow water with rope in hand
call down the thunder untill 18 initiative points
slide him 3-4 times (4 if he hits you)
consume the flames
quell the beast
get out of the water and wait for him to aggro you again (few secs)
get back into the water
repeat 5 times

so much easier to just box them in with signs...and there are several guides to taming(you were given links to 2), and theres even 1 on the wiki.
