Growing Tree's

About how long does it take a tree to grow?

Is the growth faster on its native terrain substantial?

From what I can remember, growth on native terrain usually cuts the growth time in half, so it's fairly substantial. How long it takes varies from tree to tree though.

Since no time period was given by Teck, I'll say their growth time varies from 1 week to up to 3 usually.

I can't remember, to be honest. One of my villagers did pretty extensive testing on them but that was in World 3 and I don't think he ever uploaded that information to the wiki. I think we've also had threads of it over time but dredging them up is more effort than it's worth.

I realize I'm no tall respected community member, but I can confirm ~1 week growth times for Fir trees on native terrain. Also ~1.2 week growth times for Birch/Mulberry trees on native soil.

There is no definitive growth time. The last stage is determined by a decay hit, which gives it a level of randomization, as decay hits follow no pattern whatsoever.

That's still a great confirmation, thanks kindly.

That is why I stuck the tilde there, I meant it to imply randomness. Apologies that it was understood as misinformation.

Another thing to note on the subject of tree growth, all of the "larger" trees (Ones which have 3 logs) have an increased growth time in comparison to the others.
