Can not create a sling?

Im fairly new to the game so i have been using "The Ring of Brodgar" for all my info.... However for some reason there is no option to create a sling in my Craft/Tools/ranged weapons. I dont know if stating my skills will help but here they are.

*Carpentry

*Fishing
*Foraging
*Hearth Magic
*Hunting
*Leather Working
* Lumber jacking
*Primitive tools
*Plant Lore
*Stone Working
*The Will to Power
*Wilderness Survival


I certainly hope someone can help me with my problem.

Look on the right. Have you discovered all the necessary ingredients yourself?

Yes i have a bunch of string and leather, if that's what your wondering.

Having the leather and string is one thing, he wants to know if you personally discovered it. That is, you pulled taproot or nettles out of the ground or harvested a string producing plant and you personally took the leather out of the tanning tub.

You'll know you "discovered" it because it will normally give you LP for it. That is the only way to unlock the recipe for the sling.

Yes, as btaylor said, you actually need to discover the ingredient yourself, before you can make anything out of it.

Oh wait. You're wrong. So you really didn't need to link to the 'Sling' page twice in the same thread, did you? That's just silly. If you meant to say that it's it's really no fun trying to use a sling without 20+ Marksmanship (I killed a boar with 8 MM, I know this), well, there you many have a point.

I'm terribly sorry for wasting all of your time. I got my leather from my neighbor i didn't tan it myself. I think that's what you mean by personally discovering it. Well i gotta learn somewhere.. Thanks
