Invisible Wall?

After traveling south for a little bit via river, I found what seems to be some sort of boundary where I cannot go south any further, be it in water or on land. Is this the end of the world? If so, wouldn't that make the world flat? :shock:

Well I guess that makes it easier to find my location on the World Map, thanks.

EDIT: Sure enough only took me about 20 seconds to find myself :D
