not gaining learning points

for some reason i am not gaining learning points for most things

acording to the wiki I should, for isntance I am trying to basket containers and wooden cups but I only got lp when I mad the first cup *discovery points* also gaining lp for study objects but not for cutting down trees or chopping blocks or stuff like that or diging

Not exactly. You also gain a small amount of LP when you discover something for the first time like taking your first branch from a tree or digging up your first piece of dirt. However, since there are a limited number of things in the world, there comes a point where you can only gain LP from Curios.
