Why has it changed?

Postby Serpenth » Wed Feb 01, 2012 7:41 pm

I have played H&H few years ago in World 2 or something, don't remember now...And I recently came back to the game and noticed that you don't get LP from "doing things" anymore. And the only way to get LP was to "study" some objects, which was weird, because it's hard to play and enjoy the game when you don't see any progress. But my question is:"is there someone who can tell me why did they change the whole idea of the game"?..and "Is there any chance for H&H to be like it was back in early days?"(enjoyable and fun game?)...

Thanks

I don't know how you're not seeing progress. Some of the curios will finish in 10 minutes, others are good to set and log out for the night. When you log in the next day, you have 200k LP there.

I'm not sure what Jackard is saying "No" to, but it's still fun in some aspects. It's certainly not the same game currently as it was back in w3 when I started. For now, it's stagnant and the jokers and griefers tend to have control, but there are decent areas to settle.

the new lp system force you to change your organization, but wait to judge it so hardly.
yes, ther's no more Instant gain of 1-2 lp each branches but there are gains after few minuts or hours and those grow also when you're logged out. So you'r play time is focalized on Build, Craft, Explore(a lot to find curios) and play the game.

If you like to play just to have a good amount of lp, it's still possible. You login, in a couple of hours you get enough curio for 1 week and more and you don't need to play anymore. Just login to change your curio. Basically was the same when you logged in to put your chara in front of a stick and let it macro during the night.

So, who don't have the time to grind all the timeplay, or don't use bots to grind, NOW can have a chance, collecting curio and play the game, grinding lp while is logged off.
Who whould have a tons of lp fastly, still can have it collecting fast curios and growing theyr q.

This new lp system give more time to play the game without being penalized if you don't do stuff that don't give you directly lp, but at last don't deny to grind them.

Like flame said, the new system gives players with a lower play count the possibility to gain lp when offline.
I like this new system, it's different from any other game and now you can make leather while accually gaining lp! :D
Hope you have a great day

I wish we could have both. I'd love to see actual work being rewarded like it used to be, but then again I also don't want to see large forests turned into buckets. This is why we can't have nice things. :(

You actually have both, if you play more and work for it you'll get better q crafted curios and more curios of all sort. So its not just a time based development as in Eve for example, you actually have to work for it too.
