Over Lapping Beehives?

Postby Monrook » Sat Feb 04, 2012 1:34 am

So I have googled and read threads about Bee Honey and wax, but I have not seen alot about the crops besides the growth speed.
So if one over laps Beehives on fields of crops how does it affect the crops? I was sure i read that it slows the growth?? IS that it or does it bother the crops in another way?

It doesn't affect in any way. From the wiki:
A tile is either pollinated, or it is not; multiple bee hives do not increase the pollination bonus.

The crops don't care, the beehives do. Since one tile of crop can only feed a hive once per growth stage, one hive builds up a small bit of wax and honey and maybe even gets a bit better in quality, the other starves, produces nothing, and quality is likely to go down. Also, which hive is fed is figured as being random, so what you end up with is two underproducing hives.
