Be aware though, that you lose all your LP when you die when you are full change.

Being full change, in my opinion, is the best way forward. It gives your early on character a much needed boost, and to be honest, unless you're a war-hungry animal, you shouldn't die too often, unless you like exploring level X parts of the world, or if you like taking morning dips in the sea.

Also, I wouldn't suggest going peaceful at all, it'd be a bitch when it comes to hunting.

You never know when something comes out of nowhere and kills you. Full tradition might be a little to slow, but it's wisest to keep it near 70%. The nice thing about that is in an emergency you can pop on a family heirloom. If you have the raw material.
