Getting Started.

Postby Raisetsu » Wed Feb 08, 2012 1:18 am

Hey guys, trying to get used to this new system here, but it's pretty hard to start off. Anyone have any tips on how to get anywhere? So far I've been quite lacking on LP, I was using Cone cows and the occasional Dandelion whenever I found them, and I realized that it's not going anywhere, at all. So guys, what are some good curiosities for a beginner/things to do to get a decent amount of LP, I'm going for Yeomanry.

If you've never trusted a stranger in your life, trust me on this. Read that entire thread (the first post anyways.) You will literally gain at least 2 weeks worth of newbie knowledge and be much better off than some other newbies, randomly wandering in the forests, picking up branches and making "how-to" threads.

Dragonflies (found flying around is swamps) and raiding ants nests will give you the best start for Curos (army ants, queen and Empress). Caught chickens will often give a wishbone when butchered and fish can give a fishy eye that can be studied to.

Thanks guys, that post helped a lot, I raided a few nests before and found nothing so I assumed you couldn't find anything unless you killed the ants, but I found a soldier :D.
And I didn't know you could study the fisheyes! How much are they worth? I found 2 off of three fish and ate them ):

One thing you'll learn fast: try and study everything. Also try to do odd things with objects. You never know when you'll find something unusual.
