Depends on where the cliffs are on that particular mountain.

Also, I prefer to end where I started.

Remember to bring along a dowsing rod; equiping/dequiping the rod rerolls your chances of seeing foragables.

Build road posts on the mountain to make foraging less clicky.

(i can never be bothered but always mean to do this...)

Everything depends on cliff placement really. If you plan your route well enough and the mountain is sufficiently big, by the time you get back to the start it will have respawned again :p.

One mountain isn't big enough for that. Two mountains side by side are though (they allow maps to despawn for more forageables). My personal fave is this

Code: Select all
\/<------<
|>------/\
|/\-----<
|>------/\

If you figure out the spacing well enough, you don't waste any time walking and you get back where you started (presumably to a boat, but everyone knows CR mountaineering is the way to go).

I go straight down the middle, then circle the edge. Might not get "everything" but I usually have sufficient curios by the time I'm done.
