Global chat.. Down?

I just got back on after about a 2(ish) month leave, and the first thing I tried(Of course) was Global Chat. But, everytime I hit the global chat "button"(In Ender's Client) nothing would happen. Is there something wrong with global chat, or my client?

It's been permanently removed. Someone else might have the link to loftar's post, but it's floating around the forums somewhere.

They never gave a specific reason, but loftar had a few posts floating around saying he never really wanted it in the game

Pretty sure I saw reference (so this is hearsay) that they didn't like the idea of global chat because it more or less opened communication (with real character names) between friend and foe. Jorb and Loftar actively encourage feuding and warfare because that's how they think this game should be played.

Prime example, in Haven 2.0... err Salem. Witchcraft is essentially an inbuilt method for griefing people. It's legitimate, there's reason to do it (it powers your numen) and it's gonna piss people off / cause wars.
