Leaf Clover and Pulling Hair

Postby ThunderStorm » Sat Feb 18, 2012 10:17 pm

I am told that if I feel auroch with leaf clover, I can pull its hair or milk it without getting attacked.
I tried this several times, but me and my friend had both been attacked and killed once for pulling auroch hair even after we fed it with leaf clover?
I am pretty certain that I did not click wrong. So, is this a bug? Or does leaf clover doesn't give me 100% safety?
Or maybe it is me clicking wrong afterall.

The four-leaf clover does exactly what it has always done: allow you to milk an aurochs or shear a muflon. Nothing more.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Well, i've fed clover and only been given the option of pulling hair, no milking allowed, and it worked fine. Five aurochs in herd and got hair from all of them without being attacked.

To milk an aurochs you need to click a bucket and right click the animal, you got lucky to not get attacked.

there IS NO "option" to milk.

you put a bucket on your mousepointer and rightclick the auroch to milk it.

to qoute the wiki:

''You can get 2L of Milk from an aurochs. To do so, you need to get one or more Four-Leaf Clovers and to have a Bucket in your inventory. Pick up a clover from your inventory and right click on an auroch, then pick up a bucket and right click on the aurochs to milk it. Each bucket can hold the milk of up to five milkings (needing 5 clovers) whether from one aurochs or several.''

I know how to milk an auroch
What i'm saying is the option to milk didn't pop up - just the option for pulling hair, which i did, successfully.

Sorry, i'm wording myself wrong! When i clicked the bucket it only gave me the option to pull hair, wouldn't milk.

a bucket on your mousepointer and rightclicking on an auroch doesnt give you any options at all, it either moves to go milk or doesnt respond at all.

by bucket on your mousepointer i mean if you move your mouse around the bucket floats around with it.

Well, it did. I know that normally u just milk but on this occasion when the bucket was over the auroch an 'option' popped up to "pull hair" - obviously i didn't want this, i wanted milk so i fed another clover and tried again - same thing happened. So i risked it and pulled - got hair.
Tried all other four in herd and same thing happened each time, so instead of milking got 5 hairs.
