im starting to think that finding pearls are based on your nature slider. im full industry and i have been cooking mussels for 2 days. its been like 6-7 lc but still no pearl. no one can be that unlucky so its based on the belief slider

Last world, I went 900 mussels without a single pearl. It's not based on any sliders, just whether the RNG is in a good mood or not.
