Where is a good place to find food? I need a rabbit for a hook to fish but have not seen any at all.

Keep searching for a rabbit, you'll find one soon enough. Then go out fishing.

Get yourself cloth making to make bunny slippers. They can't break because they have no armor value.
You need 2 dried bunny hide for this. So find yourself 2 bunnys, it really isn't that hard just keep searching.

Also, search bunnys by pressing ctrl+h in the ender client to hide trees and stuff.

Yes, but next time he gets hit, he might lose them again But yeh, wait for bunny slippers until you have some spare hides

If you come across a swamp, enter it until you get a leech on one of your slots in your equipment screen. If you place said leech in the foot slot it will stop the thorn in foot debuff.
