curios and lp question

If I put in a curiosity with 4+ change, and then up my change one more in the middle of it's progress, will I get the 5+ change LP amount?

i do believe your lp amount is affected at the time of the curio popping. not the duration of said curio

but i could be wrong

You're correct. Same thing works for doing things like logging off with the tea buff, RoB rings/pearl necklace, etc. When you log back on, you have the +LA for extra LP and you can then stash the +LA items for more effective gear for your planned activities while you're new curios tick down.
