Question about farming

Postby ThunderStorm » Sat Mar 03, 2012 1:32 am

If soil q above seed q, harvested seed q is in the range of -5/+5
If soil q lower than seed q, harvested seed is in the range -5/+2
So, this means if I have soil q 30, I can still get my seed q higher than q30? Though it is a slow process.

Just want to make sure, I have some weird idea about soil hardcapping seed. Guess I'm wrong.

It doesn't hardcap, it just slows growth.

When you harvest and replant, you're replanting the "top third" of the harvest.
When it's +/- 5 you're planting the seeds from +2.3 ~ +5 which is an average of 3.65 q increase per harvest.
When it's -5/+2 you're planting the seeds from -0.6 ~ +2 which is an average of 0.7 q increase per harvest.
