Space in front of gate, is still a requirement or not?

Postby Halagaz » Thu Mar 08, 2012 10:28 am

When i played like a years ago you absolutely needed to have 2 free paved tile in front and back of a gate. Now it seam that requirement is gone, but i need a 100% confirmation on this. I want to stick 2 gates in front of each others, but i'm afraid it won't let me build them. So can i do it or do we still need 2 free square in front and back of a gate to build one or not?

So this?

---XooX----
---XooX---

or this?

---XooX---
empty space here
---XooX---

I should have tested this when i built my palis putting some signs or whatever in front of them, but i didn't, so if anyone know for sure, post a reply please, if you are not sure and just guessing please don't even reply. Its not that much a big deal i could let a space, but for the aesthetic i don't want to.
