Tree Growing

Postby hendrix788 » Tue Mar 13, 2012 1:38 am

I have read all about tree growing and I get how it works, except for one part. Once I have the sapling in the pot from the herbalist table does the quality of the soil I plant it in to become a full tree matter?

If you mean the soil you actually plant the tree on, then no, That doesn't effect the quality at all.

I have a question about that. If you plant a fir tree on broadleaf it grows much slower or berch on needle-leaf. To fix that I grassed an area of 5x5 to terraform needleleaf into broadleaf so I can plant mulberrys. Question is, how much of that 5x5 area needs to be terraformed before broadleaf trees grow faster. Is is the whole 5x5 or even a bigger area 15x15 that trees usualy terraform if left in peice over a longer period of time or only the 1x1 the tree is directly planted on?

only the 1x1 the tree is directly planted on

but grassland doesnt change the growth time. it only lets you see if the tile gets changed to the surrounding trees' native terrain.
