my miner reported seeing a puff of gray smoke in the black zone while mining, no cave in boulders or anything, any ideas? or is my miner off their tits on earthly gasses?

I have also saw something like that, but in mudflat in last world. Always been alone though so no one other have seen it at same time :?
No idea what that is.. just white smoke that appears, moves to north-west(in my case) and disappears..

I'll never forget the first time I saw crime scents..... they were near a mine hole and I thought they were strange gasses escaping from the caverns. lmfao After a bit I was like "Hey! Thats a foot print".

Sure it's not a LOTR reference?

Any number of games and books have the plot line of men, dwarves or gnomes mining into forbidden depths and some great evil arising from it. Lotr, Baldurs Gate 2:Shadows of Amn has a gnome village in the Underdark that does it. The Icewind Dale Trilogy has Bruenor Battlehammer's ancestral home being destroyed by a dragon in the way.....
