Removing Crops?

Hey guys, I'm remodeling my farm and I need to get some of the crops I already planted out of the way, but I can't get rid of them. Turning the tile into cobblestone, dirt, grass, etc doesn't get rid of them. The crops aren't matured so harvesting is of course out of the option. Is there any way to destroy the crops?

The only way to remove the crops is to harvest them, so you will have to wait for it to fully grow, sorry that is the only way

Ahh, darn. Hopefully the devs will add some way to get rid of them someday. Thanks for the reply.

Why would they, crops need at most few days to be harvested.

There should be a way to get rid of crops that aren't fully mature, yes. Don't know why Magicman seems to think otherwise.

Ok, well, you can destroy literally everything else in this game, so I suppose that there should be this. Farming just seems like the last bastion of refuge after a raid.
