You were correct.

441 strength equals out to 21 damage, which when added to the +20 of a ram deals 1 damage past the soak of 40 strongboxes have.

Rams also allow for 4 people to add their damage together. So each person really only needs 25 Str (at least one with 36) to do minimum damage to a strongbox. Now, if you want to know how much to bash one, that would be at least 1369, which I'm sure is possible by now, but not very practical.

The quantity of 70 (soak of a brick wall) - 4 (damage bonus of a sledgehammer) + 1 squared or.... something in excess of 4300 (Not going to do the exact math. You can do it if you're curious Start>Run>Calc.exe)

Fortunately (or unfortunately as some would say), you can't smash a brick wall without a ram.

4489 (at full barb, a base str of 3453 would give that), it would take 3125 seconds of continuous destroying (not accounting for stamina regeneration time) to do so.
