Noob Question about New Worlds

Postby Craven » Mon Mar 19, 2012 3:52 am

I am a new player, having only started about 2 weeks ago. I love this game, but one thing has concerned me....when they go to world 7, I know you lose your builds. But do your character stats get reset as well? I have put a lot of time and effort into gaining LP, skills, and stats, and I really would hate for all that work to be erased on the next major update.

AH, okay, thanks for the answer. I realize I didn't put any more work into it than anyone else, but it still kinda sucks. But on the bright side, I built my character up once, so I can do it again. And maybe a little more efficiently and effectively, now that I have an idea of what I am doing.

This world has been going since October 25th, and since Jorb and Loftar are working on Salem I don't see it stopping any time soon.

This.
I would be more worried about dying and losing everything than the world ending and losing everything.

Think of it like this.
You die = loose more or less everything
World reset = everyone looses everything

That's a terrible way to look at it. If you die you retain your infrastructure and stored resources as well as a small sum of lp. It is not hard to leave a spare set of gear around just in case you die and losing the q90 kiln you traded for is much more painful than losing 2m lp.

On a world reset you're go to take substantially longer to get to where you were before and now the world is even more hostile and volatile. I know it's hard to believe but early game has more raiders and griefers than late game.
