Hari Kari

I am looking for a way to delete my character. Basically, I mistyped a Hearth Secret (did you know they were case sensitive?) upon creation and spawned INSIDE someone's personal property. In their garden, to be precise. Luckily, with the "Baby Blue Eyes" feature I managed to squeeze out of a hole in their fence (luckily they had one!) and wander out.

I managed to find an ants nest and proceeded to stir them up and got myself well on the way to death, but had to log out before I finished the job. When I came back, I made the mistake of returning to my hearth fire (which I hadn't moved from the garden of the other player) and am now I'm stuck in a 1x1 tile area that is my hearth fire and can't figure out a way to nix the guy so I can go to the RIGHT Hearth Secret.

So... two questions:

Is there a way to delete/kill my character at this point?
Was there a way to teleport to the real Hearth Secret after I went down the stairs? (mostly academic, but if not, why not?)

If you can't move you can't kill your toon, basicaly you're stuck at that.
Only way out would be to tele to a village claim but for that they have to kin you and you have to destroy your hf, which is impossible on brand new toon, so you're stuck.
Alternatively, the third way out which is independant of you is if owner of the land decides to destroy your hf.
ps it's hara kiri not hari kiri

Ouch, and here I even pretend I know a thing or two about Japanese culture

Ah well, seems he'll be there for quite a while - as the owner was automatically added to my kin list and she hadn't been on for 3 days when this all started. I guess I wasn't *that* attached to the name.

Because you're on a claim where you don't have rights, you need to turn on Criminal Acts to move - [A]dventure: C[R]iminal Acts. Now you can get out the same way as before (if it's still there), learn swimming, and go drown yourself.

OR

Just create a completely new character and ignore the old one. If you are lucky, the claim owner will sooner or later destroy your HF, and you will be able to log in the old one 'Somewhere in the Wilderness' instead of at your HF.

There is no way to teleport to the HS you wanted after going down the stairs, because otherwise, everyone would be teleporting all over the world, which is not really how this game is supposed to work (the current village-porting method used for trade was, as far as I know, not really intended by the devs).

And on seeing your latest post - you can't reuse names anyway, so even if you kill that toon off, the best you'd be able to do is Name Jr or Name II.

you could just put a space or two in the end as well. or take the advantage of case sensitive ;)

If my main dies I usually add a title to the base name. For example, in w6 I died fairly early to to a completely random and unavoidable [/sarcasm] boar attack, so I added "Esquire" to the end of my name.
