Harvesting Flax

Let me start by saying I've only been playing for about two days now and I've just set up my first little log cabin with a small garden of the only seeds I have been able to find so far, flax. As of this morning my plants have been growing for about 40 hours real time. They've sprouted purple and yellow flowers and look like the fully grown flax plants I've seen on the wiki but I am unable to harvest them. Could someone explain what I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

There's no yellow flowers on a fully grown flax, also wiki timers are for plants with a beehive in vicinity and even then you'd need around 48 hours. So all in all most likely your flax have not yet finished growing.
