Just Reincarnated- How do I rediscover things?

My new character does not 'learn' anything from picking branches, chipping stones, etc. He got his stats and LP just fine, but he's a bit boned if he can't even build a fire anymore.

I'm probably missing something dead simple (unintended pun for the lols).

EDIT: I was missing something dead simple. I guess, for some reason, he just couldn't build fires until he'd learned Foraging. I figured Wilderness Survival would be enough, but nope! Or maybe the system just needed a nudge. All's fine now, I think...

If you reincarnate from a dead char, you can't discover the things again.

Since you already discovered those things in your ancestor's life, and you chose to inherit from him/her. You've already discovered the items as you have discovered them in your ancestor's life. So, you won't be able to get the lp from discovering them again.

You won't get the LP second time but you do not need to rediscover those items for construction purposes (althou you do need to repurchase the skills you lost)

Oh, I wasn't concerned about the LP. Nevermind though, I figured it out. He just needed to learn Foraging before he could build fires again. I panicked a bit.
