Ok well.. Just making sure of a few things before i actually do this

An auroch herd has spawned outside my base, and I've fenced post'ed them all in. Currently I'm gaining IP through "Call Down the Thunder", and i have all the studies up to Leadership so i have most of those skills...
I have leather equipment, etc, and my stats are like so:

13 STR
11 AGI
14 INT
13 CONST
12 PER
12 CHA
15 DEX
10 PHYS

I have a rope, is this possible before i actually.. you know.. Quell The Beast?

edit: OH unarmed, in that case.. no, i've not leveled it much, its not that high >_>

so you NEED 50 unarmed to do it? cant do it with lower or..?

You can, but without metal armour a lag spike might kill you.

alright well, i'm not going anywhere anytime soon, so i'll just sit here and level up my unarmed till its around 30 or 40 then try it

edit: on a completely unrelated note.. whats the easiest way to kill one of these aurochsen?

np i was my self intrested how to tame animals so i started to look
