Harvesting Acre Clay

Postby KimJungLulz » Sun Mar 25, 2012 10:41 am

Hey guys,
I'm trying to get acre clay in order to make some curiosities. There's a massive mudflat near me so I went down there to dig. I dig for the first time and get one piece (quality 10). I start digging around again and don't get anything until i work my way to the other side of the mudflat. Am i doing something wrong? I dug like 20 holes and only got 2 pieces, is that meant to happen?

Thanks.

They clay of all kinds is associated with "nodes". If you find a node then it will give you large quantities of clay, even from one spot. If you did not find a node then you will get occasional Q10 once, but never more. In your particular case only thing you can do is look for another mudflat because the one you're on has no nodes.

There are invisible resource allocators known as 'nodes' in the world. Not every location has a node and nodes that do exist are circular/ovular in shape. Nodes determine how much of a resource is at a location and at what quality. Nodes produce the highest qualities at the center of the node. If a mudflat or shallow shoreline does not have a clay node, then digging it will produce only 1 piece of quality 10 clay or no clay at all. Nodes deplete as they are used and produce lower and lower quality products. Nodes will heal in time if not used but will never exceed their original maximum quality. Some resources do not need a node to be used, such as water, stone, sand, and soil. Without a node you cannot dig for clay, fish for fish, or mine for metal ore though.
