I logged in naked today

Postby gau » Thu Mar 29, 2012 2:41 pm

Last night I logged out with a full inventory, study, and equipment page and now everything is gone. I found a runestone outside telling me a ranger had taken My stuff. how and why is is it that someone can attack me, steal my inventory stuff, and he said he could've killed me too, if that's true whatever this is, is the most bullshit thing inthis game. If death is so harsh, why should you bee able to kill people withoutthem ever even knowing.

I don't care so much about the stuff I lost, I'm moving. But if you can kill people when they are logged out,I don't care what they did, it's the dumbest thing in a game like this.

1. If you commited a crime - Theft, Vandalism, Murder you leave scents that can be tracked and the tracker can force summon you even if you're offline.
You can be beaten, your stuff taken and be killed.
Only way to prevent that is not leaving scents... ;)

2. On very few occasions i heard ppl where attacked just in the moment they're logging out (i never experienced it myself) - there's a minimal time gap between " pushing the log out button" and really being logged out...

You didn't state if 1. or 2.

1. is part of the game - 2. is just kind of exploit (or cleverness)

I'm not sure which part of wiki you used but ringofbrodgar.com links in pretty much every criminal action that you will leave scents. If you follow that scents link you got as plain as it gets explained that someone can get those scents, find you and summon you even if you're logged out.
