...where does the agriculture/industry part come in? Agriculture has a higher chance of a successful sprout, but at what point does this measure up? When all the ingredients are put in, when it's put on the herb table, or what?

your nature belief determines 1.how fast the trees will sprout on an herbalist table and 2. how many of the trees will die on a herbalist table.
with full nature 1. is 4 ingame hours and 2. is none.

the quality of the trees is determined by the quality of the cone/apple, etc, your survival skill (+ an attribute, i think its dex but im not sure...), the soil quality, the water quality, the pot quality and the herbalist table quality.

No, no, I meant when does it come into effect. At what point does it matter if you have industry, or agriculture.. at what point in the planting process does the game start taking it into account?

Alright.. because I planted two for my friend with full agriculture to plant, but didn't put them on the table and both died >.<
