stuck

hi. I wanted to ask you for some help, because im stuck in the way that i can't progress well. After many hours playig, i only found 1 rat, and i didn't see more animals. also if the environment does not have the necesary materials for me i can't 'rogress, i am quite noob at this game.
One quiestion about skills: how does affect incresing the skills "not learning new ones"? I red guides etc, but i can keep walking arround the wilderness and i see nothing new to do... help please.

I would sugest you read viewtopic.php?f=2&t=19114. If you follow this guide you should not get stuck. Only possible way to truly be stuck is if you start on very small island without trees.
