Tracking on a Claim...

If you track scents on someone else's claim, does it leave theft/vandal scents behind?

if you mean actually picking the scents up off of their claim, it'll leave tresspass and usually you'll pick up your own tresspass scents.

I mean, if I come across a murder scene... And I pick up those scents on a claim that does not belong to me. Will I then become summonable, through theft or vandalism?

I know that if you harvest someones crop, it leaves behind vandal... But I'm unsure whether or not the same is true for picking up scents.

Already answered you, you just leave a tresspass scent.

IIRC you will not leave a trespass scent when picking up the scent only when entering and exiting, correct me if I'm wrong. :) A good practice, if you want to track someones trespass on the edge of a claim, would be entering from a different spot, so that you do not mix your scents with theirs. :)
I had a retardedly huge signature and have gotten this embarrassing replacement to show for it.

Thanks guys. I got summoned once for harvesting abandoned crops. Didn't want the same to happen for trying to help people track. :)
