Found abandoned palisade settlement...

I found abandoned palisade settlement so i built a ram and took down some of the fence.I could not find a key so the question is if i build another gate do i get a key or do i need to build a seperate corner post and then after i build the gate connect it to the abandoned fence to get a key?

Each gate created will have it's own key.
P.S: You might wanna do some window shopping first, there's plenty of abandoned palisades all over the world
