Is noob killing very common?

I started to play this game for about a week now. And I've enjoyed my time slowly learning the basics of ender's cleint, farming and exploring. Luckily, I gain helped from a higher level Korean from a near by <s>twon</s> town. I don't know why but it was greatly appreciated. I lived as a hermit in the bottom right corner of the map between paper town and wrath of rabbit. On April fools, I got raided but didn't? Just trolls who wanted to mess with me, or at least I think. But today, I was on a boat to find curious. Suddenly I got surrounded by players who then attacked and killed me(2 hits). They kept saying beroror?, berroror?, berroro?, or something to that extend. I have no idea what that was suppose to mean. I have done no wrong doing against anyone. I'm a hermit plain and simple.

I have a few questions:
1-If you did this why?
2-Are random killings like this common?
3-Is a quality 40 pearl enough to hire a ranger in my area?
4-Should I move to a new area? if so where are good areas?
5-Who are the wrath of rabbit? I've seen there name on this form before.

Also, how do you get a screen shots of in game?

Also thanks but I am leaving post haste. I think these guys are really powerful and even a pearl isn't enough payment.
I gathered up my supplies, took down my claim, and was preparing to leave tonight. I log back in for tonights journey(about 16 hours later). But everything is gone. I see why newbs rage quite so often in this game. I am a bit depressed myself. Everything was going so well at first.

q10 pearl may not be valuable enough, but a q40 pearl is a different story for some players. keep it on your alt (and never log onto it) to avoid getting it robbed.

I was intrested in damge they cuased. So I created an alt to explore my neighbors. I get raiding, I don't understand this. This is a lot of work for a few lolz.


My neighbor #1 was attacked and everything was destroyed.

Hi, sorry to hear about that..
I'm a noob as well, and I got raid twice in 2 days : (
Probably just because I'm not advance enough to build the palisade (don't know how to spell....),
so sick people just completely clear my pocket (Q5 stone axe too, can u imagine?) and destroy everything I have.
And right before this happen, I got killed by boar and reincarnation means I have to learning my skills all over again......
I don't even know how should I move on without a fishing rod, it's not that easy to find bone in my area....

Even though I know this game don't have any moral or law coding and players have the freedom to do everything,
but I don't think that having the freedom to do bad means you have to do the worst to others.
I have the freedom to play in peace, right?
Start playing this late is already in disadvantage, and being surrounded by sick people makes it even harder.
Guess I'm a bit depressed by robs....

Well, all I can say is that I rather let those sick people do bad in the game than do bad thing in reality....
