Leaves/Worms positioning...

Postby Neon14 » Wed Apr 11, 2012 12:29 am

How does everyone position their worms in their cupboards? I find myself putting in the exact number of leaves requires for every silkworm, in this case 16 silkworms and the rest of the cupboard filled with leaves, now this should be enough leaves for each worm, 4 each worm right? No, I find myself constantly having to come back and replace leaves that all of the silkworms have ate, I don't understand, they're eating more than they're supposed to?

Is it required to position the leaves around the worm? As in a position like this..
x being leaves w being worm..
---x--
x-w-x--
---x--

However, this eliminates usage of the sides of the cupboard, limiting the amount of silkworms you can put inside a cupboard along with the leaves..

What's the effective way of doing this? I don't want a second crucible duty :c

With 16 silkworms per cupboard you only have space for 3 serving of leafs per silkworm.

Most you could have in one cupboard would be: 12 Silkworms | 48 Leaves | 4 Misc

Yeh, never mind you're right, how exactly do you position the leaves? Just throw them in and then the silkworms, or does it honestly not matter?

Would they eat the leaves quicker if they're positioned around them?

This. I've just thrown them all in there. If there's a leaf available to eat, it'll be eaten.

I will prefill the cups with food while they are on the table and leave 12 spaces at the end.
