Upgrade Personal Claim to Village

Looking for information on this process.

As I understand it, village claim will overwhelm a personal claim. Is it just removed? is the LP refunded to the personal claimant as if they abandoned it?

Is the best way to unclaim your personal claim prior to activating the idol? Or just let it happen automatically?

And lastly village size. fairly sure I know the answer to this one but want to be sure.

Village size is a static thing right? only expanded via banners, not LP? Is it placed centrally around the idol by default or is that an option? Or are the non standard villages just using banners to accomplish that?

Personal claim and village claim are 2 separate things. Both may cover the same spot and one may exist without another.
Permissions from personal claim take priority before those of village claim.

1. Yes, it can only be expanded by banners and statues.
2. It is placed around idol, no way to change it.

Did not realize they could co-exist, that's very interesting.

Based on Discussion, it sounds like it requires an action for the lawspeaker to declaim it? Is that like a UI option? or just by standing there and meeting the qualifications?

Which overrides which as far as permissions for vandalism, etc?

ie if I given kin permissions on the personal claim, but they aren't a villager, can they interact with objects without scents?

And the reverse, can a villager without kin permissions do the same?

You must be the lawspeaker to do it.

To make myself clearer, when personal claim and village claim overlaps:
1. Non-villager may move on personal claim and do accordingly to permissions of the owner of personal claim on that land.
2. Villager without any permissions can't do anything on personal claim (even when it's personal claim of a member of the village) without criminal acts and right skills for that.
