thefts and scents

Hi all
Recently been robbed by a bugger.

I have ranging but can only seem to find tresspassing odors. Is this a bug with the ranger skill? Sometimes it can take a while for me to discover the scents other times I have to go in and out of a hut before I see one. Despite being robbed there seems to be so few scents, even tresspassing ones as I'm sure the thief has searched through a lot of my storage...

If his stealth is equal to or better than your perception you may never see them.

It's actually Stealth * Int vs Exploration * Per, and it's a chance based thing just like spotting forageables. If you repeatedly enter/exit a house, you'll eventually see the scents if they're there. Of course, when it comes time to follow the scents, enough of a difference will leave you will a full circle and no pie wedge to follow.
