sheep wont breed

Postby stickman » Thu Apr 26, 2012 2:10 am

First before you think im just a noob.. im not. ive been breeding animals for awhile.

I have a pen now with 8 fullgrown females and 1 full grown male... since i killed off my last older male I have not had any new babies. I first suspected something was wrong last week when the last of my babies grew up and there were no new babies... usually im FLOODED babies... now i have none.

The male is not stuck. he freely roams around the pen...

Any suggestions?

I have tried roping him and sheering him to see if that somehow would make him "unstuck"

Are all the females preggo already? Other than that... <shrug>

Moving them all to another pen might change their spatial relationships to one another (they might not be seeing that they're close enough to mate).

when i found my sheep not breeding for a while, i did a few things which gave them a bit of change.
1) i tried to work around them. tried to stay in a certain radius from them. (not sure how far)
2) when that didnt work, i moved a few minimaps away and then came back. (often they started when i walked far enough)
3) i took a pair for a walk :P (often they started while walking...even when i didnt want them to.)
4) i moved their pen.
5) when all else failed, i caged a male for a day alone and then put him back into females.
dunno what works well exactly, really. but just saying it happens.

Def sounds like something to do with maps not resetting properly.

It eats 10 times more than it usually does.
