Does LP update?

I'm running on Ender's client, therefore I can see how long it's going to study LPs and how much they give.

Though, if I start studying one, and in the middle of the study I get one more in e.g Change or Peaceful;
does it affect the item that I'm studying, or do I have to re-equip it in the study-window?

change is in effect - no "reloading" needed
