Highlight functions not working? [Solved]

Postby FictionRyu » Sun Apr 29, 2012 1:17 am

As the subject says, my highlighting functions on Enders is not working. I have indeed updated Enders client to the most recent. But All of my highlighting functions do not work. IE: The ability to see aggressive animals is a particular one that does not work. But that ability worked prior to my updating. I tried inquring about it in the Enders thread but I have no received a reply yet.

Can anyone help with this situation?
Please and thank you.

**EDIT**
Erm...I just wanted to update this once again..I figured out why my higlights were not working..I didn't have the Radar on..

I didn't think that had anyting to do with the highlights. But it apparantly does..

Have you turned it on under the Red Cross menu?

Yes I have. I have tried turning everything on through their repesctive menus and it'll say it's on, but it's not. And I have closed, and re-opened my client window.

Check your CMD window for any problems it might have loading the resouces, from there you might be able to work out your problem.

When in doubt I usually just clear my HnH temp files.

kaizokuroof wrote:Another thing might be to clear out the HnH temp files that may have been loaded already. These are located in different spots if you're using Windows XP/Windows 7.

XP: C:\Documents and Settings\*username*\.haven

Remembering to replace *username* with your WIndows log on name :) and also change the drive letter from "C:\" if you've assigned your windows partition to a different drive.

Win 7: C:\users\*username*\.haven

I'm only assuming with this one here :D I'm not at home and can't confirm but should be roughly there :)

I've had this issue on my work PC, getting haven running was a tough time, but I found deleting everything inside of the .haven folder and waiting a shit ton of time was the fix.

Good luck fran hope this halps.
I had a retardedly huge signature and have gotten this embarrassing replacement to show for it.

have a look for file named haven. conf in your Ender folder (not to be confused with haven.jar) - you can open (edit) it with Notepad Texteditor...

there should be an entry named "showBeast=true"

you may just delete this haven.conf file also - restart HnH and make new settings ... it should write a new haven.conf then...

edit your run.bat
put in a new line only containing the word "pause"
save run.bat

run HnH , put game window to taskbar
now you should see your "CMD Window"
