Swimming Question

Postby Facekillz058 » Mon May 07, 2012 10:20 pm

I searched this before i posted so, don't hate.

Is there a level of Con where swimming doesn't decrease stamina, or no?

This info will be helpful since i died by drowning on Friday night.

I highly doubt there is a level where swimming wont drain it, but if you remember to drink you can do well with lowish con, I managed to swim a lake consistently at 125-130 con

It always decreases stamina, it only affects the speed the stamina is drained. Think of it as having a larger stamina pool, and when you swim you spend the same amount. However, that same amount is a lower percentage of your stamina. As far as I know that's how it works.

About how much con to safely swim, I wouldn't really buy swim until you have at least 60 con, and even then I would be careful.

Also, whenever you have a question that can be easily answered (and isn't very long, etc), I would suggest posting in the simple questions thread: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=22391

Yes remember you can drink whilst you swim. The trick is to have the drink radial menu up before you enter the water, and wait until you're low on stam to click "Drink". Then you can swim twice the distance.

And remember not to drink too early otherwise you wont drink as much and once you stop drinking the first time, you cant drink again

Or just hotkey the flask and press the corresponding button when your stam is ~80%

and then drink that water in about 2 tiles if its any normal quality and drown. drink at about 10-15% so you actually get some use out of the water
