bone clay formula?

looked on ring of broadgar and saw the formula for bone clay. but when i made it, it was Way lower than what i thought i would get. Anybody help me in the error of my calculations?

RoB says formula is the ash t the feldspar and cave clay(the Feld and clay x2) all divided by 5

so i used a 5 Q69 ashes(69*5=345) so i'm calcin. . . 345 + 20 +20=365 / 5 = 77

I got Q21 boneclay.

so is the quality of the ash avereged between the 5(which in my case it would just be 69) IE 69 + 20 + 20 = 109 / 5 = 21.8


Damn i think i just answered my own question, but since it says that perception and intel affect the bone clay i'm just getin clarification.

You are correct about the error in your formula, the ash is averaged rather than added together. I don't think both per and int act as a softcap though I may be wrong. My guess is that it is probably only one of the two.

No, it takes the average quality of the ashes, not all 5.

Q=(69+2(10)+2(10))/5
Q=(109)/5
Q=21.8
Q=21

i am so fucked. i been collecting cave clay and feldspar for freaking months(no mountains all that close to me), not to mention all the bears i slaughtered for the Q200 bones

As a matter of fact, according to this thread: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=26762&start=10#p337131 the wiki is wrong, and the formula is actually (4xfeld + bone ash)/5. Not that it matters in your case, but yeah...

Well, it's mostly for people who can get decent quality feldspar and not clay. As a matter of fact, if you have the same quality feldspar and clay, you can get higher quality bone clay than the clay by using Q200 bones on a decent kiln and good fuel.

well it would seem to me as I have found nothing in the past months over Q13 that good quality feldspar is harder to come by than good quality clay.

I would had loved if the q was all the sum of the items / 10, but i guess that would make it to easy
