Get out of my boat

Howdy,

My first post, so please be kind. I'm in my first boat, on a river, sailing along and saw something interesting along the shore, but don't know how to get out. I go to the shallow part along the bank and have tried left clicking the shore, right clicking the shore and right clicking the boat. So far nothing works and I'm getting concerned. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You must ctrl+left click on shore to leave the boat. I guess everyone has had that problem before... : ^)

Thank you for answering my question, I am now free of my boat and discovering new lands. I love the game. I have been playing ever since I saw a beta tester mention it in their review of Salem. The game reminds me of the excitement and danger I felt when playing Ultima Online, when exploring outside of a town, before they created the seperate worlds. I look forward to meeting someone in game, I just hope they don't kill me right away.

Well, there is probably about a 50% chance they will kill you right away... but then again, at least you won't lose much, as it seems like you are new to the game... : ^)

Just don't give up because of death, even though it's permanent, you can usually recover what you lost pretty quickly.
